At St. Mary, Spirit Days are special occasions where students can show their school pride by wearing approved Bobcat gear. Students also have the option to wear their regular school uniform if they prefer. Below are the specific guidelines for Spirit Day attire:
Approved Spirit Day Attire:
- Bobcat Spirit Shirts: Students may wear approved and official Bobcat spirit shirts, which can be purchased from the school office or online at bbscreationsict.com.
- 8th Grade Students: Eighth graders have the privilege of wearing their approved class shirt.
- St. Mary Athletes: Student-athletes may proudly wear their team jerseys with jeans. However, if the jersey is sleeveless, a t-shirt must be worn underneath.
- Bobcat Sweatshirts/Hoodies: Any Bobcat sweatshirt or hoodie is acceptable when worn over a spirit shirt.
Permitted Bottoms:
- Denim Jeans: Students may wear denim jeans, but they must be worn with a belt. Please note that skinny jeans, “jeggings,” and jeans with holes or rips are not allowed.
- Denim Capris: Girls may wear denim capris, provided they adhere to the same guidelines as full-length jeans.
- Jean Shorts: Students are allowed to wear jean shorts of walking length on Spirit Days during 1st and 4th quarters of the year.
Footwear:
- Students can wear any type of shoe on Spirit Days. However, tennis shoes are required for P.E. Please note that Crocs, flip-flops, slides, and similar footwear are not permitted.
